make something beautiful

Hi, I'm Aviva Rosensweig
After making Aliya from NY, I have spent most of my life raising my family in Israel. Along the way, I've been a literature teacher, a web designer, a communications director -- and in my free time, an avid traveller, singer and photographer. In midlife, I discovered a new passion: making lifelike flowers out paper. Welcome to my website where you can learn more about this beautiful and endlessly creative art.
My Story
My paper flower journey began ten years ago when I discovered the work of artist Livia Cetti. I was captivated, and when I began experimenting on my own, I was amazed to find that with the right materials — luxurious Italian and German crepe papers that stretch, curl, and hold their shape — I could bring remarkably lifelike flowers into being with my own hands. As I discovered new tools and techniques, from pan pastels and alcohol inks to a precision digital cutting machine, each breakthrough opened up new creative possibilities, taking me from simple daisies to intricate hibiscuses, dramatic tiger lilies, and more...
I invite you to explore my website gallery to see some of these creations for yourself, and if something speaks to you, I'd love to work with you on a custom order or welcome you into one of my workshops to experience the joy of this craft firsthand.
